Re: Pyramid hugger

I've take all my Pyramid products ( belly pan, hugger, double bubble and the extenda fenda ) from Dynamohummm the price was good and the service too.

But on all Pyramid product I have, the hugger it's the only one I don't recommend to anybody and this is why:

Look at the picture below, you will see that the chain guard part of the hugger is very not aligned with the chain, for more this parts is also not enough long at both end side as result that my undertail ( mototeck new model ) and my tail are always plently of oil chain residue and that REALLY **** me off!!

Maybe if your VTR is not yellow or if you don't have an undertail or simply if you don't mind to have to clean your tail always with some decreaser!!! this hugger can be good for you!

But for myself, I think this one will goes on ebay soon!!

Cheers

Maybe you make a mistake with the belly pan price because the hugger is listed at 159.95$ CDN

My Pyramid rear hugger fits the same way that Icebud's does, so I just attached it in the inside of the mounting boss with a bolt and nut. I also used some washers to space a little more so it would look straight with the chain.
It looks alot better than leaving it all crooked.

Re: Pyramid hugger

Nice job nineighthawk!

I've think to do this but I have not do this because I was saying me that when I will remove this screw it will be to replace this damm hugger...!

But now with the purchase of my Wilbers chock and my CBR1000RR front end, I think I will wait a bit before to replace it and I will do this mods... Is someone know how to print money!!! Damm, I'm broke!!!

NOrrth, I guess you are speaking about my ride!? You make me realize that I have never post pic of it!! Too many speaking I think, I really like this forum, you guys are very cool and it's very fun to share info with you

So, pictures will come soon because I think the best picture of it that I have are in my "old" 35mm camera... Sorry but you will have to wait a little more

Cheers

Re: Pyramid hugger

For that matter, while I wouldn't mind a hugger, if any one has just a stock chain guard, I'd love to take it off their hands for them. There's a lot of oil clean up in my week....

I just bought (seems like i got the last one) the Puig CF (looking) hugger from Rumble Imports.

My bike is matte black with a fair bit of Carbon fibre so this should tie in nicely.
Found the guys very good to deal with and their customer service fantastic.

If you get the chance, post up some pics of that bad boy - it looks like the one I want at magical racing but has a longer chain guard. That could be a better way to go. http://www.magicalracing.co.jp/LineU...r1000f_en.html

You going to have to wait a little while : (

Bike is still in the workshop since being rear-ended a few weeks ago ($9500AUD worth of damage !!)

And the hugger is a B'day pressie from the fiance which i cant have for 2 weeks : (

I may be able to get a few shots of it in the flesh (it looks hot i can say that !!) and post them up.
But for now, all I can do is put it on my head and run around the house making bike noises

I got my Pyramid products from Streetfighters by design in Cali. This guy named David Cork runs the place, I think he is from AU. He is a pretty cool cat. Haggle with the price and he will beat other prices. He gave my unpainted pan and black hugger for $415 shipped.

Re: Pyramid hugger

Got a friend with a hugger you like? Feel adventurous? Will they let you borrow it for a while?

Make a mold of it out of plaster or foam......fiber glaas one up. Make mods to it as you see fit for your needs 8)

Good weekend project.
