It is a flat piece of metal. I cut down some spare aircraft aluminum at work at mounted it to the top of the forks. Now I can strap down the phone while riding.

Check out Ram mounts. They work great and look good too! That may function but not much for looks from what I can see in the pic.

I bought this holder at Ross for $4.99, drilled a hole in the plastic neck cap, bolted the ball joint to the neck cap, and the holder has a socket with a tightening nut that connects to the ball joint. It can swivel and be positioned in portrait or landscape, tilted side to side and up and down, and holds the phone very solid. I got the idea from the ram mounts.
