New blinker idea
I finally had enough of the nearly invisible blinkers on the undertail, so I found my old
"stunt double / project" taillight and got to work. I wanted something more noticeable, and in the taillight. I settled on some led bulbs (6 to be exact) and made a small bracket to hold everything in. Not quite as bright as I hoped, but much better than before. They actually shine surprisingly well through the red lens. For some reason, my camera doesn't seem to catch the full brightness of the LEDs, they're about 20% brighter than they look in the video.

Looks pretty damn good. I've thought about doing this with all the spare LEDs I have laying around...but didn't feel like messing with my tail light (opening it up...fabricating brackets, etc.). This makes me really want to follow through though.
Good job!

It looks like you still have the stock tail light, if so you can get a Clear Alternatives Intergrated LED tail light. I just put one on my bike and I am impressed with the visabilty of the directional. Half of the tail light blinks amber for the turn signal.
