Question Mounting Flush Mounts?

I've got a set of Lockhart Phillips Flush Mount IIIs that I'm about to begin soldering the stock pigtails to, but I still haven't figured out exactly how I'm going to mount them to the fairing. My thought was that I would find some type of thick, rigid plastic (don't know what) and cement that to the inside of the fairing so that I have something to bolt the signals to.

I know that a lot of you guys run these signals. What mounting method has worked for you? What has provided sufficient stability?

I bought Protons for the RC51 and they covered up the holes nicely.
