Clutch cover

In the category of cheap, close to free...
Dismount the cover, use a drill mounted scotch brite pad and polish out the scratches. From the Home Depot use rattle can appliance epoxy in flat black, gray or gold. It's the stuff I use on my frames after media blasting, almost impervious.
Yeah, thats me, always in the discounted, close out section of the sales rack.

I just looked at both Home Depot and Lowe's websites with no luck.
Also, have you tried it on wheels ?

I can't speak to the web site. I found it in the back of the paint department on the rattle can rack. Last time I bought it, the price was $5.95 +-. The mounted scotch brite I found at Sears in the hardware dept. The scotch brite on the drill mount made me a hero to my wife when I used it to make our kitchen sink look brand new after we put new cabinets in.
For all the labor in prepping a set of wheels for paint, I powder coated mine rather than use paint because of all the road debris and stone chips while riding. Dollar cost averaged the job. Powder coat once or repaint every two years.

I have Carbon/Kevlar covers for both sides, clutch and rotor. They slip right on and are mounted with heat resistant silicone.
2mm on the edges, up to 5mm in the critical areas.
Multiple layers Kevlar/Carbon with a clearcoat.
In case anyone is interested i can sell them for 69 USD each side. Shipping should be around 20 USD, i have to check on that, maybe envelope will be cheaper.
Different colors (Carbon black / Kevlar yellow / Carbon-Kevlar mix) on request.
Also on request it is possible to laminate Titanium or Steel sheet metal into the covers, for even more strength.

I can make some pics tomorrow from my own bike with the covers installed. There you can see the clutch cover after a 60mph highway slide, just a few scratches...the rest of the bike including myself didnt look that good...lol

@ lokomo
i dont have pics from a kevlar only cover. All the covers are made from a mix, but you can choose the top layer being from either carbon, carbon /kevlar, or just kevlar, which give the cover a yellow color.
@kmm996
i dont manufacture them, a friend of mine do after i talked him into it...
He has all the equipment you need to produce a quality carbon fiber product, not just a cosmetic gadget.
These covers are all hand made and are not made for making business, he made a few for me and some SH buddies, but the moulds are still there and he can do a few more covers if there is a request.
