Well, ask and ye shall receive...Shout out to Bald Eagle!

I just happened to be looking for gold 6 spoke CBR or VFR rims and as luck would have it Bald Eagle had a set. A few hours and some Boston traffic later I have what I've been looking for. The front is headed to Will for some repairs, I suspect by the Spring I'll have them on. Pics to follow soon.

Update on rim repair:

Will at Wills rim repair in South Carolina came through very well. He fixed the front rim for a very reasonable rate and got them back to me very quickly. He is on Facebook and accepts Paypal, I had a very good experience, he did a great job.

How much and how damaged was it? It wouldn't hold air or just dinged?

 

The rim was bent outward on the edges in 3 places. It likely would have held air but I think it would not have run true no matter what and would likely have had a bad shimmy. As for cost, I'll let Will make that call but I am confident that you and any member on the site will be satisfied with his pricing. Shipping via UPS from MA to SC was 32$ each way with tracking and insurance with a 3 day delivery time. The cost of shipping was close to the cost of the repair but when one considers the cost of a good, true, straight rim, I think it's a bargain.

He even installed new/used front bearings (because mine were shot) in order to get a good runout reading at no charge. FYI, I over paid for the service because I thought his price was too low, otherwise shipping would have been more expensive.
