Question angel eyes, what?!

i guy i work with has an R6 and told me yesterday that he was thinking of fitting angel eyes on his bike. i had no idea what angel-eyes were. he's pretty young. i was busy and didn't google them. today he stops buy and we're talking about our bikes and he asks me if i looked up the angel-eyes. i told him 'no' and immediately google image'd them. WTF. are these things safe? it looks like the headlights are off in the pictures. do they look as tacky on a bike as the images strongly implied?

should i talk him out of this? he's never actually seen them installed, so i, at least, warned him to do some further research into safety and ugliness before buying them.

have you seen these installed on a bike?

Purely cosmetic with no real value. They would only be seen really if the headlight was off.

i thought i'd throw out a simple, straightforward post, for a change. not in the cards.

i'm going to talk to this dude on Monday. he immigrated here from Poland. i'm pretty sure it's an Eastern European fashion issue.
i live next to an orthodox Ukrainian Catholic Church. here's a couple shots of the typical Easter "Blessing of the Baskets" church fashion.

You are forgiven for your spelling transgressions since you posted the hot eastern European chicks.

i prefer 'voyeur' to 'perv', smokinjoe.

"at church no less", is the key. it's the church i've lived across the street from for over 15 years. the 'Blessing of the Baskets' celebration is conducted mainly in the parking lot, so the display of Eastern European Church Fashion is especially dazzling.
last year i decided to opened my front window, set up a tripod and shot what used to be termed 'a whole role' of pictures... mainly to amuse myself and my friends.

my wife just called me, to tell me that today is the day. yes. today is The Blessing of the Baskets ceremony. but i'm gonna miss it because i'll be out riding. it is actually Not Raining in Chicago today.

Yeah, while your intentions were ok i guess, it's definitely a bit creepy. The presence of any hot women is smoldered when the background is a church..

Ok back on topic. The youth must see the error of his ways. Here are some instructional vids:

I am going to look past all the creepy stalking posts.
However, I have been looking at how to update the front end of the super hawk easily.
I am thinking about putting two of these projection lights in, I am just not sure how to go about retrofitting two from a single bulb setup.
Bi-xenon: Morimoto Mini (H1) - HID Projectors from The Retrofit Source Inc

Also, just as a thought:
Why did Honda not use the front end from the 900rr!?! Who possessed the power to pick the f4 front end for such a beast of a motorcycle!?!

The VTR and F4 share no parts of the front end... The reason the VTR is so wimpy is because it was on the budget end then, and even more later in it's lifespan as a model...

There really is no problem using two projectors from one source... just hook + to + and - to -... Besides, with two HID's you really, really need a realy anyway unless you want to fry your wiring to a crisp...

You will have one hell of a job getting them in there and aligned correctly with each other in that space though...

i agree. a humorous analogy between my Polish friend's bad taste in bike accessories and the bad taste in somewhat sleezy Eastern European church outfits is pretty damn creepy and perverted. thanks for noting some of my better qualities.

Yeah, trying to mention your wife does nothing to change the creepiness of setting up a freakin tripod to peep at strangers. I still stand by the belief that if you arent luring boys into your van that its on the way, wife or not. Seriously, I would check myself if I EVER was setting up tripods to take pics out a window of strangers (or their wives or kids or whatever). And yes, those people are going to church so it makes it worse. There is no way this is non-perv activity. (in the civilized world)
