Sad but true!
There must be a few folks on here that have been playing with their VTRs due to not being able to ride because of the weather.
Post em up, remember any VTR is a good one.

Well,
As threatened in another post on this fine forum, here is my much loved VTR.
Just finished adjusting the new tapered stem bearings( Went for a ride and they feel worse than before, one of the things I love about these bikes!) and also polished the pipes and fitted new gaskets.
I have owned this bike for 4 years now and there is always something to do thanks to the ideas and advice gained from being a member of this forum.
Here she is, if you look hard you can pick up some changes from the last time she was on here!
Looking good!
Nice and clean after polishing the headers , shame they don't stay that way for long!
For those that don't know the bike the mods in no particulate order are as follows.
Dynojet kit, pair removal. TPS adjustment ,aftermarket cans, link pipes and hangers, removed inlet restictors as well as header pipe mod by grinding overlap where header pipes meet, custom Jack Daniels starter motor cover( the premix cans come in handy for something other than drinking)
JE H/C Pistons, decked head, cleaned up the ports, lightened flywheel, 4 degree ingnition advance, removed anti rattle gears as well as water pump drive gears and chain, no thermostat due to electric pump,Kreiger manuals, Mesh covered head light, running light and air vents, Burnie Morgan air filter mod, engine oil temp gauge , engine oil pressure gauge, integrated clear rear tail light, flush mount front blinkers, white wheels with polished lips, ( None of that "*****" powder coating on this bike! No offence James! I'm just too tight to spend the $$$$ when I can do it myself. Lots of parts have been baked in the oven when the wife was out!)Braced CBR900 Swing Arm, R1 rear hugger, braided brake and clutch lines, rear brake master cylinder delete with HRC kit, HRC relocated coolant bottle,( more to come on that front) adjustable and foldable levers , CBR 600 F4i Calipers painted black with the Nissin logo removed and that flat area polished, Dan Moto Rear Sets, polished engine cases, Fork lowers and braced arm painted black, almost every bolt replaced with 316 stainless Allen head bolts, Reworked front forks with Coerce fork brace. New gold X link chain and sprockets (Standard gearing as I do a lot of long rides- 300k plus)with colour coded sprocket nuts, coerce sprocket cover, , reworked standard rear shock with 1000lb aftermarket Spring painted yellow to look original( Desperately want a quality aftermarket shock, but don't want to pay the price as I am happy with the shock as it is) Bar End mirrors( Only have one fitted as I like the look even though it is illegal here!) Single seat cowl, relocated seat lock because the rear guard has been cut! Tank Bra, remote vac lines, a few stickers, And a whole lot of small things that I couldn't be bothered mentioning but you may pick up when you check the photos out.
These bikes cry out for attention and mods that always return a result, sometimes not the one you want!
NOW!
Someone else please post their bike .
We all need some inspiration to keep going !!
I'm sure there are a lot of nice bikes out there, it could be that we have all owned our bikes too long and take them for granted!
Please post your bikes and get this forum rocking.

Post your bike mate, do you like the way I got the wheelie bins in the shot.
P.S Steering stem bearings are fine, front wheel bearing is shot! That's what all the clunking was from. They are only about 2 years old!

Ah.. the famous Falcons, I still preferred the Holdens on them, or shall I say HSV's, I wish they had them here mate, had a 1975 Kingswood wagon, used to be my surf cruiser ;-)

Going to hold open the entry period for a bit longer. Maybe someone else will enter.
Very sharp looking bike Kenmoore.
Which model Holden was the Pontiac GTO from a few years ago based on?

Not sure which Holden it was, maybe the VZ Monaro 2 door coupe.
We had a V.E Commodore G8 that was rumoured to have a Pontiac front end on it!
Can someone else please post their bike? the

Competition (Sort Of)
For the sake of kenmoore, I will post my SH.
I am the proud owner of a 2003 SuperHawk in Candy Tahitian Blue. Because I have only had it for a little less than a year and the PO liked it perfectly fine mostly stock, there's not much to say in the way of mods, other than the wonderful Twin Brothers exhaust and a few others that you can probably pick out pretty easily. So without further ado...
Yes, this picture is a repeat of one already in my gallery, but its winter here and I don't feel like disconnecting the trickle charger and putting the seat back on, and <whine whine whine>...
So, again, rather than list the mods (of which there are not many), I will list random made-up modifications for our collective amusement. I apologize in advance if any of these actually exist and are useful (on a motorcycle, at least):
I hope I win!

So, again, rather than list the mods (of which there are not many), I will list random made-up modifications for our collective amusement. I apologize in advance if any of these actually exist and are useful (on a motorcycle, at least):
- Deluxe "superspeed" fluid installed in all (4) blinkers
- Adjustable powerband on the chain (that took elbow grease to install)
- Water-cooled muffler bearings installed on BOTH pipes
- Flux Capacitor for turbo racing (under the headlight, of course)
- Boost bar for advanced forced-induction
- Super heavy-duty clutch belt (wet clutch compatible)
- Aftermarket stereo with quadruple woofers for surround sound effect
- Cross drilled brake lines
- Air brakes
- CB Radio with dual 6 foot antennas
- Summer air (much better than winter air) in both tires
- Spare tire under seat with extra spinner rim
- Murray's modified exhaust fluid
- No touch wiper blades
- Wooden camshaft (White Oak)
- Exhaust moleculizer for fuel efficiency
- Supercharged clutch with deluxe twin turbo
- High speed bumper bolts (had to be installed with a left-handed screwdriver)
- Three phase footinator (doubly compressed)
- Gold catalytic converter
- Engine alignment and rotator splint
- Hypertension headlight valve
- Piston return springs
I hope I win!

Thanks for posting,
Surely you have a "Reverse Thrust Precipitator " mod planned!
This helps to relieve stress on the " Suckwurth"
Oh, and by the way, try racing air in the tyres, it's the best!
What's the world coming to?

No secrets with the polishing.
Various grades of wet and dry paper, autosol , and lots and lots of elbow grease!
If you look closely you will see that I have removed all of the wording on my cases.
I like the look, some may not.

Nah Mate,
We scared them all away !
Let's call it a tie and wait !
It's a shame as I'm sure there are some members who have great bikes that other members deserve to see.
Maybe this thread has outlived its usefulness.
Wonder what would happen if it was removed from the forum?
I for one would be disappointed, but hey, I can look at my bike every day.

I'm thinking that if only kenmoore is motivated enough to post up (you too SuperSport, with the magical racing VTR) that he deserves the title, no matter how easy the win (well maybe not considering SuperSport's fantasy VTR). In good humor, have at the voting.
