i know you probably wont answer this Yeti but i cant help but wonder what you paid for the STG 3. its so damn rare, and the parts are one off. im sure it wasnt cheap but the bike doesnt havnt a huge following so i dont think it could really bring that much money. the history of it racing has to give it some value though. i really have no idea where the ballpark price would even be. my guess would be somewhere between 8K and 20K USD?
what does everyone else think?

How can you put a price on a bike like that?
Value is in the eye of the beholder, old cliche I know.
Bet if he parted it out there would be a tidy profit, however it would be tragic to do that.
Would love to see this bike photographed and documented for all to see!
Lucky man.

my stage 3
Value : for me its priceless , how much did I pay ?
If my wife sells it for what I told her it cost , I would
be very very ! sorry I lied .
ref a photo shoot n write up : its something I will be
doing in hopefully the not to distant future .
The old girl needs a bit of TLC to bring her back up
to where I want her first though , not a lot .... just a bit .
regards
YETI
ps : did anyone else spot the chicken strips on CYBERMAN`S
rear tyre .... whats that about ???

To me it's a priceless bike as well. A piece of motor sport history as well as one bad *** machine. BUT I guess I'm wondering how much it could bring at auction. It is a REAL race bike and it has an interesting story. But I'd probably pay way more for it than someone who isn't as familiar with the VTR. It was never a super popular bike. I just don't know if that helps or hurts the value. It's certainly rare. But I don't know if there's a whole lot of people willing to toss over huge amounts of cash for a bike that's not famous or won a lot or anything. I think it's worth a lot to us because of our passion for the Bike. It's a museum quality piece with a little TLC but I couldn't stop myself from taking it to the track
By the way Yeti, what's the history behind this particular Stg 3? Was it an endurance racer or did it race in BSB or.... ? If I had to guess I'd say It's the BSB racer that was formerly yellow and silver in color. #38. Amazing that it does/did and will again produce 170bhp. That is a HUGE difference from a stock bike. Almost twice as powerful. I bet she'd clean up at any track day

Try the PP3's. More of a hyper sport tire. Comparable grip to Dunlops at least for road riding. Good profile and loads of miles. I'm a big fan. Pointier profile than the PRs
