SuperHawk goes naked
Hi all!
I decided to do a proper thread on this one. I will try to mention all the mods chronologically as the work is still in process and every year I have a slightly different set up.
First year most of the mods were done.
Front forks SP2, both wheels SP2, swingarm SP1, Buell X1 rear part, coolers from KTM, Bulldog headlight, Koso clocks, Ohlins rotary steering damper, Paoli adjustable rear shock, 24L gas tank and one off underengine exhaust. Of course wider handlebars, braided lines, Supersprox, DID etc.
Here are some pictures from the process.

..another season has passed and winters are long here. I had couple of changes in my mind. Exhaust was not right for me and the bike was not running well. Somebody from other side of the world was interested in buying it, so there was a space for another try. This time I went for 2-1, 55mm system. Plus some minor changes such as new shock (Ohlins), new clocks, intercooler, BMW carbon handguards, radial brakes R6, PT radial clutch and 19 brake MC, and swingarm from SP2.

It was no surprise that the bikes suspension did not work right as the "math" behind it was not done exactly. Specially with SP2 swingarm it showed. So this winter I will follow the advice of members from this forum and have it done properly. Plus I bought a SH 06 model for spares with 18k Km, so I'm changing the engine as well as all the bits for newer. At the end I will have original clocks because they work the best, 2-1 system will stay, but will have standard headers, another rear shock. I sold the SP2 wheels, so I putted SP1 instead. I do not really mind extra few grams. I bought reworked SP2 forks with titan nitrid bottoms. Color will stay pearl white. Belly pan will be added later, also rear hugger. Dyno at some point too. I bought Sigma6 needle set from US, so I will try to set this one and will see.

nice to finally meet the inspiration for my coolers. When I was first trying to figure out what direction I wanted to go, someone posted pics of your bike and that made a much easier decision for me. Great work by the way, keep it up.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.
Side coolers were never an option for me. From my simple knowledge of how they work I figured that without fairing there won't be much air getting through. Because I ride mostly in the town with traffic, cooler fluid temperature is very important to watch.
Here is another option when I stripped down VTR SP2 (RVT RC 51 for US) according to HRC for one of my friends. This was quite tricky, as I wanted them to fit in OEM fairing, just in case he decides to sell the bike later on. It's been a few years now, he still has the bike and all works perfectly, no issues!
