Nice collection of bikes and sorry about the yellow.....

I noticed that your track bike and commuter bike are red. Why?

Welcome and enjoy yourself here.

lol, I like to keep the commuter bike red to avoid speeding tickets and the race bike red to avoid injury. The track bike is actually a friends bike, but we use it as a 4 member team endurance bike.

Noticed you sporting the Union Jack on the windshield of the track bike so I am assuming you are British. Firestorms are way slow compared to Hawks of ANY color.

Military? Ex-pat? Embassy?

Yeah, from the UK. Left there in 2003 and have been a kindergarten teacher since then. Have a lot of friends serving on the Yokosuka base out here.

Welcome- and nice scenery pics- cool to see the bike in it's motherland. What's that blocky thing in the middle of your console?

I thought the Firestorm and the Hawk were the same thing? Just different names for different sides of the pond? Or did I miss a "lol" somewhere in there?

Oh no! Here we go again. Now Superhawks are faster than Firestorms and Yellow Superhawks are the faster color. So I assume a yellow Firestorm is probably as fast as a red superhawk?

Do you get to ride every day or are the roads closed often due to Godzilla related incidents?

Domo,

Excuse me please, what is the "handle" on your VTR's (which takes care of Firestorms & Superhawks) license plate that attaches where the mounting bolts appear would to go?

Hey,

It's a 'touring bar' for clipping one of those stretchy cargo nets to. It also covers the Kanji on my plate so police can get a full view

Great to be part of such a welcoming and active forum! If you need info on Japan and how to tour here take a peak at www.gaijinriders.com
It's a fun place to be, even if Godzilla gets in the way sometimes...

Welcome to the forum, but it was already decided in an eariler thread that yellow and red hawk riders agreed that RED was the clear winner in looks, speed, and overall coolness !!!!

I`m another one in Japan with a VTR, Gord referred me to this site as am having issues with the CCT.

The bike should be repaired and out on the road again soon...
