Re: My '98 Superhawk project

Very nice bike!!

These Mario fairings are very nice, you seem to have put a lot of $ and time on your bike and the result is very cool!

I like the color, this is only sorry that it's well know that Yellow Hawk are the faster!

Do you have the intention to give more sound to this baby with some pipes?

Cheers

Re: My '98 Superhawk project

I plan on puting on some Jardine race baffle carbon fiber high mounts. I also have the top of the air box cut off so that it's just a ring to hold the filter on, this gives the bike a very mean sound.

Sorry about the links to the pictures superhawk22, I realized I copied the wrong links. I've corrected this so that it shows the full size pictures instead of the thumbnails.

Much better, that's a pretty bike, nice deep red. No hassles from "the man" for the license plate relocation? They bust you hard down here for those because you can't see the plate from the right side of the bike.

Re: My '98 Superhawk project

No hassles so far. I've had one problem since the make over and that's people honk behind me and passing me even though I'm speeding myself. For example I was on the highway yesterday going a minimum of 100 MPH and people kept honk behind me and then going around me. When I drive this highway in my truck I only go like 10 over the speed limit and at most that's only 85 MPH. At that speed some vehicles pass me, not all of them. The only thing I can think of is that people are speeding along with me just to check out my bike.

Re: My '98 Superhawk project

This is the website showing all of Mario's original style fairings, which are the ones I have.
http://web.tiscalinet.it/mario_nava/vtr1000_e.html

This website shows his more exotic looking SH fairings which require a bit more work and parts off of other bikes.
http://web.tiscalinet.it/mario_nava/vtr1000r_e.html

You can e-mail him at mario.nava@tiscali.it to get the current pricing info.

Re: My '98 Superhawk project

I took just under a month from the day I put my order in to the day I got my fairings, but they took longer then usual to start them. So it shouldn't take that long for you to get them.

Also for everybody who's complemented my bike, thanks!!!
