My 2004 Superhawk

My 2004 Superhawk
I just picked it up a couple of days ago. It's an '04 with only 3500 miles on it. I paid $5000 for it. It's got a few little things here and there but it's mostly stock. The pipes have had the baffles removed but thats it. You can see in the pics what all's been changed. It's got stiffer springs, heli bars, a hard wired battery charger and garage door opener and all the factory parts.
I love this bike! I've been looking so long for nice Hawk I can't believe I found one this nice so close. Anyway, I've already ordered my Jardin black high mounts, K&N and a Dynojet kit. Anyway, here are some crappy night pics I took. I'll get it cleaned up this weekend and take some better ones.

well i think the saying goes once you go black you theres no comming back. Red screams pull me over, and how can you not speed on a hawk....? especially the faster black colored ones. Black Superhawk They sound cooler too.

Thanks for all the nice comments. I just got finished installing my exhaust tonight. I think I'll leave the passenger pegs on just for the protection if the bike is ever on it's side. They should protect the pipes as far as they stick out. It's a lot louder but smoother at the same time. Should sound even better once they are heat cycled a few times. Too bad it was raining so no road tests yet. I did notice once the bike warmed up that it didn't rev up as smooth as before. I'm not sure if the pipes need time to break in or if the mixture is off now. I do have a Dynojet kit ready to install and my K&N should be here this week. What do you guys think? I know it looks 10 times better for sure.

Thanks, but I've decided to keep the bling. Hey, we need to go out for a ride sometime. I've also got a friend with an '01. That'd be cool to see 3 Hawks together, I'm sure that doesn't happen very often.

Led taillight
Thought I'd just show some pics of my led taillight I installed. I like it much better than the turn signals that were on before. It's much easier to see. I also did some cutting to make the undertail a little cleaner. Don't mind the dirty bike, I got caught in a little shower today coming home.

Nice '04. I can't wait to chuck my Gold wheels. I have two charcoal wheels waiting to go on, but i have been in lie till my tires wear out.
Don't take this wrong but with those fancy high side pipes & frame sliders, there seems to be an order of chicken strips and ranch asking to be comsumed. I should have an excuse being here in Oregon but in texas well you know I can't see it. At least everytime I ave been to texas it made the word dry seem lacking in description. But alas you may disregard coming from a webfoot, (Beaver that is..... not Duck)

Nice looking bike. I especially like what you did with the license plate and the seat lock. Any tricks or tips to doing it? I've been trying to figure out how to clean up the **** end of my Hawk and I think I'd like to try the same set up as yours.
Also, where'd you get the taillight? I've seen them on Ebay and was wondering if that's the same kind. Thanks.

Thanks for all the compliments guys! I'm definately keeping the gold wheels just for the unique factor. I get plenty of compliments for the way it looks now.
Blackhawk04, no chicken strips here sir. Those are the tires from the previous owner. I've since put 2cts on it and the little michelin men are getting worn off the edge. Don't know what the rest of your post means, but sounds like your not too fond of us texans.
