You mean the wheels are merely painted? I always thought it was a powdercoat or something that required mechanical stripping... Hmmmm.

It was just paint I used aircraft paint stripper that you can purchase @ napa or auto zone for 6.99. The paint they use is some kinda zinc oxide that bonds really well to aluminum. But brush it on wath it peel right off. I did it with my tires on the wheels I just taped off really well and had water on hand to rinse it really well gloves a must that **** burns like a son of a bitch

You really need to stop talking about this..... and for the love of god stop explaining how to do it and where to get the parts..... I've come back to these pictures too many times over the weekend.
So the aluminum under the paint is really that shiny? or did you perform some type of polishing on them too?

I didnt put any kind of sandpaper or polishing wheel to it it was 100% all that shiny! All Ive ever used was mother to clean em thats it. OK OK Ill stop now but make sure and get the aircraft stripper the others my buddies used didnt work as well as the one sold at napa or auto zone. LOL
