I upgraded.
Had a Superhawk ~7 years ago.. sold it about 3 years back.
Recently got the itch again and upgraded.
2007 Aprilia RSV1000R
Factory Ohlins/Brembo front
Ohlins rear
CF front fender, frame covers, rear cowl, rear hugger, air scoops, ram air covers
Cored / shortened exhausts (12" long, 1.5" core, re-coring to 2")
15/41 Superlite sprockets, 525ZVM2 chain
HID Retrofit in progress.
31k miles, clean title $5400! Smokin deal.
Pumped to be back on 2 wheels!

So I gotta ask, how is that power delivery? Meaty as hell midrange or mostly upper end? Or both? If I recall I think they have around 139HP and 78ft.pds?

but i have always like those bikes. 140 hp is nothing to sneeze at either. nice to have ohlins all around, brembos, and forged alum wheels from the get go.

Though a 1060 kit would make it "awesomer"
always wanted to try one..... FWIW, IIRC, the RSV was quoted at 143 hp (at crank) while the Tuono was at 139hp (which makes to high teens, low 20s at the rear wheel).... Mods really wake them up though from what I have read on the Aprilia forums.....

I will say that the big carbs is one of my favorite things about the VTR. Gives it character

Glad you enjoy. FWIW, FI is not necessarily smoother; have ridden some FI bikes that were lurchy as hell, and some carb bikes which are the epitome of silky smoothness so it all depends on calibration, though in theory an FI engine can be calibrated much closer to perfection.
