Sorry to be a bandwidth hog.
Bike was on consignment at a local dealer. Brand new tires, scotts damper and Jardine rt one high mts. I will have to tear into it a little to find out about jet kit or intake mods. Motor is very clean and bike looks to never have been down. It put a big grin on my face riding it home!!!

First, I love the color (or photon-impregnated lack thereof). Don't let anyone tell you different, black ones are fastest.

I was thinking about tossing my slipons in favor of the Jardine high mounts, you may have just pushed me over the edge...

Enjoy it, and thanks for posting the pics!

Thanks for the responses.
The only draw back on the Jardines is if you, like me, go to work at 3:30am and have neighbors!! It is loud, but sounds really good both at idle and full throttle. We will see what my neighbors think of me after tomorrow morning!!

Too much!!

$6200.

I really wanted it and i figured the jardines, the vortex sprockets and the scotts damper new prices were around 1400 +/-, so I justified it as the bike was 5200 and accessories a grand. i would have bought the stuff anyway if it didn't have them so if I paid 4500 for another that maybe didnt have brand new tires, I would have spent the same.

Maybe I paid too much, maybe i didn't, I feel good about it.

I would say if it dosn't backfire on deceleration,it more than likely has been rejetted. Can't believe that the License plate thing hasn't been hacked off yet.And just short shift it out of the nieghborhood.Have fun.

We have the exact same bike. I haven't seen too many bikes like ours. I paid 5k for mine 9 months ago with 3500 miles and pretty much all stock. I've since added another 1000 or so in mods, so your price isn't too bad. How do you like the damper?

Make sure your choke is not sticking on a bit. Mine did that to me recently. Getting 87 miles for a tank of fuel. Little WD40 and it limbered up good.

Even in 50F weather I have to get out of my choke real soon after the bike fires. At least half way. This bike has always been a gas hog but it runs so strong I forgive it a few miles. I agree, a little cackle on the decel is just normal for a high perfomance engine - no matter what config - when you drop the throttle.

Congrats on the purchase.

I think I see a wee bit of space to park your bike in the garage.

Nice Bird. Those look like the "race" pipes. I've got the "street" / black ones and they're loud enough. Mine backfires/sputters a little also, I kind of like it, keep folks off the bumper.

You can adjust the damper so tight it is hard to move the bars. It has crazy adjustment.

We'll have to get together for a ride, if you still live in arlington. Not too far from me.

It is a 302 ford block after dropping a valve. Split the trw piston in half, spreading it out and cracking the cylinder. That equals one fubar trick flow aluminum head, bent rod, destroyed piston and destroyed sleeve. Thought about fixing it, but now looking for a boat needing an anchor. the motor was still running and drove back down the return road at the drag strip. Even started back up to load on the trailer.
Good old ford. My bronco has the same motor in it and is pushing 300k miles and has had not much more than oil changes thru its life. FORD.
