Carbon fiber tank is from

http://home.earthlink.net/~watanabekiyo/vtrpage.htm

The decal is a stock decal. The only other decal on the bike is another stock decal on top of the tail section that says "Honda"

It's nice because the bike is pretty plain (just a solid color)

Originally there was a third decal of the tank that said Firestorm. But...the tank is now sitting in my garage replaced with that huge F**king carbon fiber one. I can get 350 KM out of a tank on the highway......hahahahahahaha.

Not to hijack your thread but I fitted a vfr tank (approx 5.3 gal) for lot less! https://www.superhawkforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=900

I know NOS is non-flammable but seeing that bottle hanging out there makes me nervous. When do you like getting "juiced": Roll-ons, running hard thru the gears, monster wheelies?

Nice Job on the VFR tank, I would have gone that route but I actually found this Carbon fiber tank on E-bay. Paid $700 for it.

My nitrous bottle is actually being protected by a black Frame slider that came off my ZX6R race bike so any concerns are settled. The only scarry thing I have to deal with is when I carry passengers cause the passenger footpeg is actually built into the bracket that holds the nitrous tank. The last thing I need is a passenger to kick the nozzle off the tank.

I usually hit the nitrous near the end of 3rd gear and all of 4th and 5th and 6TH.

If I hit it too low in 3rd or 4th, the front end of the bike has a mind of it's own and will come up FAST.

Hey c'mon. What gives with that James Bond/McGyver looking farkle next to the guages? There's also an extra beefy looking line leading to the BC800 pickup. What's up with that?

The Wires to the BC 800 pickup are protected by a heavy duty wire loom that I used to protect the thin wires that lead from the speedo to the pickup sensor.

As for the red box beside my guages.....well thats the my custom made Nitrous control box. You can also see from the attached picturs that I have a Nitrous purge line that runs to my left mirror.

To activate my nitrous, I have to:

1) toggle the Nitrous switch to power up my nitrous solenoid
2) toggle the secondary fuel pump and fuel solenoid switch
3) toggle the ARM (red) switch to arm my stock horn button.

When I want to fire the Nitrous, I then just hit the horn button and she rocks!

All three swithes metioned above must be toggled in order for the system to work at all. I also have a fuel pressure switch that does not allow the nitrous to fire unless my fuel solenoid fires first and has pressure.

It's a cool setup and works well.

nice VTR! that's bad A$$!

btw, here's another larger tank option, cheaper than the $1800 one ( http://home.earthlink.net/~watanabekiyo/vtrpage.htm ) but $1100 is still pricey!

http://www.eti-fuelcel.com/Honda.html

anyone have this? or does anyone make an ALUMINUM larger capacity tank?
