Blue 2003

Jardine RT1s, Flush mounts, and I guess that is about it for the time being... 2700 some odd miles, put about 300 miles on it in the past few days.

Hopefully it will soon have a clear integrated rear tail light and I can get rid of the rear signals. Plan to put heavier springs in up front and maybe go with a k&n and a jet kit to accompany my pipes.

Pictures from a ride today... KLR650 in back is my dads.

Nice mate. You could arrange for someone to do you a favour and steal those reflectors off you forks too!

Bludog-

It looks like you live in N. California. I have a 2003 VTR and live near Auburn and frequently ride the foothills east of the Sacramento area. Are you anywhere near there?

Yep. I live about a mile west of Buckley AirForce Base. Weather is screwed today huh? Otherwise, you know I'd be out riding.
I have an '03 too. Just cosmetic mods on it so far. Kind of getting my feet wet for a while before squeezing any more horses outta her.
Feel free to PM me if you want to ride sometime.

Later.

Where did you get the turn signals up front. They look like lockhart phillips. Where did you get them from i am wanting to get some. I been brushing oncoming traffic with my stock signals they stick out so far.

I just picked up the signals at a shop near me. They are lockhart philips and thanks to hawkriders help I was able to make them fit.

Yea Neil, my dad has a strange taste in bikes but that thing is built like a tank and for what he wants to use it for its great. He went back and forth to alaska and the artic circle from colorado twice already on his old bmw and wants to use the klr next summer.

So they fit in the original holes and the wiring was the same?

it uses the three wires but you do need to do some cutting and wiring. also, it has this rear threaded post that you need to cut off a bout a 1/2 inch from and then melt the base so that it forms a lip for the light to stick into... kinda hard to explain but if you want more detail lemme know...
