Another VTR1000 fighter

I put this bike together last winter and have been riding it as much as I can. About 13k on the bike, 4k of them being hard miles from me, and no problems so far.

Wow. I like the dual headlights.

Why did you go for the single pipe?

I lost the cap on the road to an 18 wheeler. Its a quick fix to keep it on the road. As soon as I find a new can I'll slap it on.

Actually I like the single exhaust but on the other side. I just think it cleans things up and like to see the whole wheel, I was going to do it to mine but aftermarket exhaust made it harder so it's on the back burner for now. Looks good though.

I like the singel exhaust, any performance issues with only one? I would personally like to go with undertail exhaust, but don't have the bucks right now to do it.....

It runs really well with one pipe but it probably chokes off a few hps in the upper rpms.

ah hell I wouldn't care about that, I rarely get into the upper rpm's...

I would sacrifice the power for the looks...lol

It actually dosen't run too bad with the single on that side but I noticed a HUGE difference when I tried the other side without modding it. Honda really choked that side off, might work better if it was ground down inside like a lot have done.

The Hawk's dual pipes give it its destinctive look. With a single pipe, it would look like just any other crotch rocket.

Wouldn't that be a personal taste thing? The main reason I was going to do it was for shaving some more weight and I like the cleaner look.

I think a diff rear end would look better on it especially with the single pipe. 954 *** end swap?? there's gotta be a better way to do the single too

???

I'm planning on turning my VTR into a fighter, could you share some secrets in regards to the radiator and oil cooler? This is my very first bike project ever, so I'm totally green and any help would be greatly appreciated!

1 comment is the sideways front radiator looks... odd. looks too wide. if it was straight up and down it'd look better

Cool

What radiator and oil cool did you use on your streetfighter Superhawk?
