tl1000 front end

hi all
has anyone used their vtr front wheel when doing a suzuki front end swop?
i can find some wheel bearings with a 25mm inner diameter and same 42mm outer but they are only 9mm wide instead of 12mm. seems to me to be a bit iffy to use these or is there something else i should be doing?
many thanks
twidge

Well, in theory if you use a set of custom wheel spacers or a longer spacer/tube in the middle and the bearings are otherwise suited as wheel bearings it shouldn't be a problem... The important part is that the wheel is clamped as a "solid part" from spacer to spacer between the forklegs... And that it's in alignment...

Have you checked the alignment on the calipers/discs? Do these match up on the TL forks with the VTR wheel?

BTW, there haven't been anyone else doing a swap with a TL front AFAIK...

Galaxieman tried to do a TL swap and ended up selling those forks and getting GSXR ones instead.
