Tail of the Dragon

Heading to the Robbinsville Area this Saturday Sunday and Monday to ride.
It's been a year since I've ridden the Tail of the Dragon - be interesting to see how it compares to all the other mountain riding I've been doing in NC, TN and VA.
Really looking forward to the surrounding roads more than 129 - we'll probably ride 129 early AM Monday morning and/or late Sunday evening.
If you're a Superhawk rider in the Area, look for me on the red Hawk with my friend Brad and his girlfriend 2-up on a VFR800.

I hope you really enjoy the area. Wish I was going again this year but life and work have not allowed it. I bet I haven't put on a 1,000 mile yet.
Most I'll be able to to is a leaf peeper ride up to NH this year.

I'm near murphy today sitting at a campground. Rain.
I have my concours with me. looks like Sunday will be the best weather. I think I'll put the rain gear on and venture down to N GA mountains today. seems like there's a break in the rain down that way.

I got a huge ticket on Cherohala Skyway few years back! Never even knew he was chasing us. We pulled over for a break, took helmets and jackets off when a super trooper pulled up. You should def. try to find time to check "Wheels through Time" museum in Maggie Valley, NC.
