SEATTLE,SEATTLE,SEATTLE!!!...lets do a ride!!!

Ok...so I have been inspired by the wonderful weather as of late in the great state of Washington to try and plan a late march get together...I am not sure where yet or when concretely yet but possibly meet in Seattle then ride up to Bellingham via hwy 9 and chuckanut? there is a great all you can eat fish and chips joint up there!...

Ideally we would do this like 3 weeks out to give the folks who don't visit the board as much time to get on board with this ride...possibly the 31st of march?

I know there are quite a few western WA folk on here I can call out...and it would be rad to meet yall in person and see a whole crew of shawks rollin down the road

a list of WA guys

nineighthawk
ronvtr
soopahok996
josh
tophyr
seattlesucks
mrjakeanderson
vincent
mithrandir(if his fighter is up and going)

anyway if any one who is down knows any other hawks that are on this board personally then shoot em an email...this has been tried before so let make it work

P.S...all you Vancouver folks up there in Canada should show up too! B-ham isn't that far off for ya! haha

ad42 03-07-2007 08:23 AM

Cool to see that there are so many hawk riders in the seattle area. I live in redmond. Unfortunately my hawk won't be done by then but i will catch you guys next time.

Josh 03-07-2007 11:28 AM

I'm up for that. Although, I'm probably only good to about Arlington or as far as big lake maybe. I'm a wimp!

so here is a pic of the ride I have in my mind...follow the route up and for time and convenience issues we can slab it back down I-5 and disperse as needed...the total trip should be about 180 miles from seattle up using the back roads and bellingham down using I-5

Attachment 31582

Josh- cmon man you can do it...haha...its nuttin

ad42- so what is needed to get you up and running?

tophyr 03-08-2007 12:38 AM

I should be all back together by three weeks. F slabbin it back down I-5 tho, lets just take more backroads - worst case we just run the same route, backwards ;)

AC COBRA 03-08-2007 04:45 PM

myself and a few buddies are doing a trip the week before motogp in july, going from lugana seca area (central CA) to vancouver, might need to meet up with some seattle guys and find some good twisties up there for the day, I'm sure you could point me in the right direction:D

tophyr 03-08-2007 07:14 PM

Tsh... you name the day and the length, and we'll hook you up :)

Scumbag 03-09-2007 02:49 PM

just as Tophyr states...we will hook you up AC...haha

as for not slabbin it I was just suggesting it for convenience it cuts the time in half...

the roads should be clearer in a few weeks too...I heard a report on chuckanut and it supposedly is rather clean...dont know about hwy 9 though

cloakerz 03-10-2007 10:01 AM

Have to see if I can make it. I live in abbotsford,bc just north of the border from bellingham.

Scumbag 03-10-2007 12:04 PM

that would be killer Cloakerz...this is exactly what I was thinking with bellingham being the location...I will post up the address of the restaurant that I was thinking we could go to...any aversions to fish and chips anyone?

nineighthawk 03-10-2007 05:42 PM

Unfortunately Saturdays are out of the question for me. My Sundays are open for playing.
After the end of June my Saturdays will open up.

nineighthawk 03-10-2007 05:44 PM

Oh.. I believe the seattlesucks guy crashed his hawk and bought a VFR. So, you can take him off the list.

cloakerz 03-22-2007 10:17 PM

would like to meet everyone marysville. you are taking exit #199 off I-5 there?

Josh 03-23-2007 07:57 AM

Weather

The extended forecast looks good for that day. Looks like rain or showers up until just before. Or is this going to happen rain or shine?

Scumbag 03-23-2007 01:30 PM

I think we would be better served to do this in some sun...possibly push it out a week if it still looks bad in a few days?

here is the forecast

http://www.king5.com/weather/10daypopup.html

Cloak...would be rad to meet up with ya in marysville...

Scumbag 03-28-2007 02:57 PM

so this saturday is looking fair...I was thinking about getting an early start...perhaps meet at around 10ish?

Also I want to officially get a list together of who's in...

if we cant get that many guys in maybe push this out another week or so?...

I will go out on Saturday regardless though

cloakerz 03-28-2007 06:12 PM

what time do you figure (aprox) you will be at exit #199? I will meet all of you there on sat hopefully. If for some reason I am not there, keep on riding and have some fun for me!

cloakerz 03-29-2007 07:34 PM

sorry some bad stuff has come up and can't make it this weekend

Scumbag 03-29-2007 11:54 PM

yeah...not many people are really down...lets push this out a few weeks

cloakerz 03-30-2007 05:11 PM

thank you! I really do want to go.

nineighthawk 04-21-2007 06:53 PM

OK.. let's bump this one up..

Let's make a plan.

cloakerz 04-29-2007 10:39 PM

just don't do it next weekend. may 6 will not work for me.

nineighthawk 05-09-2007 09:33 AM

Bump again since we seem to have at least a couple more Seattle area members.

Let's make the plan and stick to it. I wanna hear some SH thunder.

Scumbag 05-09-2007 09:38 AM

Just going to throw a date out there...how about May 19th...its not this weekend but next

Same route that I put up before to make it somewhat easy for our Canadian friends to join in...

post up opinions...

Hawkrider 05-09-2007 02:09 PM

No kiddin! You guys have been dragging this out for months. Get your shit together already!

Scumbag 05-09-2007 05:30 PM

well I am going to have to bail on the date I suggested...how about 3 weeks out instead? the 26th?

and hawkrider my sentiments exactly!

nineighthawk 05-09-2007 07:02 PM

Hey fokkers, I'm ready to go!

cloakerz 05-11-2007 05:38 PM

26th is good

Josh 05-21-2007 08:32 AM

I'll have to catch the next one then. I'm going to be around brewster camping.

cloakerz 05-21-2007 03:04 PM

looks like I have a gig on the 26th now to play at an alpha retreat. O well!
