San Diego area Hawks?

San Diego area Hawks?
As a 44 year old fart who finally got a Superhawk after about 2 years of @#$%^&* bills holding me back, I typically ride weekends though east County back roads up through Pine Valley/Sunrise Highway -usually at the engine's sweet spot between 70-80 MPH - We don't seem to see many Hawks - just packs of racer X wannabe types.

Yep, I am in Sandy Eggo.
I see Superhawks on the road here and there, seem to see them running alone. Must be that we don't have that "pack" mentality.
Hope to hook up with someone soon at a track day or something.

I'm also in San Diego. I live near SDSU. Do you guys ever go to Thursday bike night in Mira Mesa or Tuesdays at TOGOs on Miramar? I haven't been yet, but I too am finishing up some mods and plan to head out to a bike night soon.

A former San Diegan
I wish I was there with you guys....I lived in Poway until 2000...but now I live in Jersey where I just picked-up my first SH. It sucks only being able to ride half the year. Be sure to try Highland Valley Road that links Ramona to Escondido on your next Palomar Mountain Trip.

San Diego Superhawks
Hey all - I ride the backroads (94 east, honey springs road, japatul valley, 79, sunrise highway) all the time - anyone wants to meet up send me a PM. I rode today with the local Ducati owners club through Potrero on the 94. Good ride until the squids on the inlines four starting make the road treacherous.

That is pretty much my favorite ride and anyone who wants to get together to ride...I'm with it
I'll be at bike night in Mira Mesa on Thursday at 7:00 with some friends. I'm a tall white guy with a shaved head and a blue hawk with yoshis. Say hello is you see me, name is Mike

Riders who are either fairly new to riding the twisties or just not very comfortable with turning. I would not expect any of this information to be new to anyone who has already read books on sport riding tecniques.
Expected Attendees
10 people — 10 Yes, 0 Maybe
There's still room for 2 more.
Organized by
SV1RIDER
Details
This Clinic will consist of about 45 minutes of discussing the subjects below and a few hours of skills practice on Highland Valley Road. This is DEFINITELY not a knee dragin event, but full body protection is required to participate. This is about increasing bike stability and rider confidence in turns, not necessarily about riding fast. While increased bike stability and rider confidence does allow a rider to ride faster, it also makes riding at any given speed safer and more enjoyable.

100 points of traction
Late apex turns
