I really want to meet up with another SH in my area to compare the way my bike runs. I am a little worried about carb sync and CCT, but I might just be paranoid from reading about it all the time on the forum. If your intrested shoot me a PM when and where and I will be there. Im available......right now!

Thanks!

I went for a 90 mile (round trip) jaunt from Vancouver up the 503 to Merwin/Yale Resevoir on Sunday. What an awesome day! Next weekend is going to be beautiful as well. I don't know the area that well, so if any of you Portland area SH riders want to meet up, I would love to follow you around wherever you ride!

I am in love with this bike, and I don't know anyone that rides.

Let's ride!

Maybe Friday PM (25th) or Saturday AM (26th)? Hook up at the Mill Plain / 205 Starbucks. Bubba, want to take us on your loop?

Carl

Sounds good to me! I think Sat. 26th morning would be the way to go. Far less traffic. Meet at 8am? Earlier or later, it doesn't matter to me.

i'm booked the 26th. could get out friday PM ( after 4pm ) or possibly sunday the 27th. route would depend on time. the run to cougar is fun but if you don't mind a bit of slab, going down hwy 14 and loop from carson is a real treat !

if you want to get together with others:
http://www.pnwriders.com ( good place & usually moderate pace )
or
http://sportbikes.ws ( where the hooligans are )

I want to do that hwy 14 run too. Id be happy to ride anywhere curvy really. Sat and Sun are equally open for me. I should be able to meet up by 5pm on Friday night, if that is best day for everyone else. Friday is a little tougher thanks to traffic, but I can make it work.

Say the word, Ill be there with bells on!

NEVER !!!!!

it's better to take 503 south into amboy - you can still run to woodland but on the southern route, but again there are good roads , towards yacolt, that will take you into battleground.

Either that or follow the 503 South through Battleground. A little less freeway that way. Sounds like start time would be up to you Trinc.

sunday 27 ? it's a bit early to confirm in stone, but i normally like to get going by 10:00.

i like to get my head around the ride before going...

route is normally set by the time available & pace set by those involved.
how long have you guys been riding ? ( ie. smell the daisies or remember to breath )

I havent even been on a group ride with my SH. I am not new to riding, but this is my first sport bike. I've put 2000 miles on it in the 3 months I've owned it. Put me next to you, and I am novice (smell the daisies). This will be my first chance to compare my ability. I am already sorry for slowing you down.

10AM Sunday is great for me!

Starbucks - 11502 SE Mill Plain Blvd, Vancouver, WA

Ya, I can vouche for him. His bike doesn't even run right, and he left me behind. My excuse is twofold:

1) He knew the road like the back of his hand.

2) He has been riding his SH for 35,000+ more miles than I have, and he has I don't even know how much more experience riding than I do.

Thats all. If it weren't for those things, I would have been right with him. Great fun anyway. We had a big day of troubleshooting.

Thanks for the short ride. Nice view from up there.

so... meet 9:30 - rolling @10am ?

route:
loop back around taking hwy 14 E

we can break up the ride and take washougal river road which just loops back around to hwy 14.

stop in carson for gas then up wind river / curly creek rd

NF 90 / Lewis river rd to cougar.

turning at Jacks on 503 ... yale bride rd to amboy.

at this point there are a bunch of roads around lucia falls / yacolt etc. etc.

9:30 Perfect! I got my new tires on, and I am chomping at the bit.

Can I invite a non-Superhawk? There is one guy I know that rides a Ninja 600. I haven't ridden with him yet, but I met him through my wife, and I told him I would go on a ride with him sometime.
