Arizona Ride - Let's Do This Before It's Too Late!

It would be nice to get the AZ VTR's out for at least 1 ride this year. I've posted a few proposed routes, but I'm open to pretty much any destination(s).

191 route
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=prescott+az&daddr=saffor d+az+to:eagar+az+to:34.043557,-109.665527+to:Arizona+Hwy+260%2FAZ-260+torescott+az&geocode=%3B%3B%3B%3BFUoWDAId9L9 m-Q%3B&hl=en&mra=dpe&mrcr=2&mrsp=3&sz=7&via=3,4&sll= 34.161818,-110.830078&sspn=4.362963,10.799561&ie=UTF8&z=7

Bagdad route
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...,1.349945&z=10

Oak Creek route
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...32,2.69989&z=9

I can make just about anytime work. Though I'd need some warning for a weekday so as to let work know. (I do hope my new caliper comes in to replace my sticking one first.. it shipped yesterday but I can ride as is if needed)

It all depends on where we go. If the loop includes a place like Oak Creek then we should do it during the week... if we're gonna ride the 191, then any day is good. Personally , I prefer weekdays, but one of my riding buddies up here can only do weekends.

So any word on when works for y'all? Mid next week perhaps?

And anyone else going to join up? I know there are more SHF members in AZ than just 4.

I can't imagine it's ever "too late" in AZ!

Not all of Arizona is a desert wasteland Jamie. It can start snowing as early as October in my neck of the woods.

I'm out of town this week, then I'll be in Vegas next weekend. During the week is a no-go for me, but weekends would be a 'maybe'. Sorry I'm so noncommital, but it's kinda where I am at this point. I'll keep looking in this thread and will be there if I can.

Ok, so what is the verdict? I will be taking a day off work soon: just to ride, and I would be fine doing so alone, in a small group, or in a large group.

Would have had to have been them, I was on 93 earlier today heading back from Vegas. Sounds like they may have done the Bagdad loop. I thought about seeing if they were around on my way through Phoenix, but at that point I was more interested in just getting home.

My buddy and I went to Bill's Pizza for lunch as well... great pizza there. Now that I think about it, that must of been Chris in the "Honda" jacket. Didn't think it was anyone I knew until I saw the VTR's when we we're leaving. We now have a shop in town and have been setting it up for the past week. We've been working 10-12 hour days, but it's been kinda fun since it's our own. Feel free to stop by whenever you're up, If I'm on the VTR I'll be more than willing to take a break and run the spars.

Ha! That's hilarious, yes that was him, and I was the other guy in full gear. Talk about sitting in the same room and not knowing it.

That is the craziest thing ever. That's funny we pm'd from my phone in the pizza place. We will have to check out your shop the next time we are up there. Maybe sooner the better as you may have some insight on this chopper project we are working on. It a small world.

Well, we are finally "sort of" caught up at the new shop, so it's time to enjoy the last few warm days of the year. My buddy and I were planning on running Bagdad tomorrow (11/04). I know it's rather short notice but....
