Is your needle Average?!?!

Is your needle Average?!?!
hey guys , just curious as to what the average temperature is when your superhawk is warmed up and buzzin around town...
i have an analog dial, so i am goin for the amount of hash marks that means its warmed up properly and ready to ride, and then the amount of hash marks it usually goes to when youve been riding for 10-15 min.
i wouldnt mind digital input too, from you digital temp gauge guys.
also, i wouldnt mind getting an instrument cluster gauge for the superhawk that HAS the digital temp on newer models. i have a 1998 SH , would it fit? do i need any mods, like new wires?

Last time I read/inquired about it, you cannot mount the newer gauges on the older hawks. Something about rewiring and such.
My needle is usually right in the middle or just a bit past when Im sitting in traffic.
I was curious to see if its possible to add another fan to the other radiator to help cool it down faster.

hmmmm. mine is at 40% almost half when constant drivin in 70 degree weather, but most of the stop and go , its around 65% on my analog dial. guess its ok if the fans are going.

Mine acts like retro's. I try to avoid traffic at all costs, thus I hardly ever see mine get over 1/4. I think i have seen it at half-way once or twice, but the fan kicked on pretty quick & cooled it down if I remember...
If you really want a different gauge, you could take some coolant readings and mark the hashmarks on the gauge in degrees, or buy an aftermarket gauge, fit it in place of the stock one and run that. just an idea.

BooYeah: Did you add the entire water wetter to the system or just part. I did this to my shawk but only added four caps full per quart of H2O. Didn't really notice a difference temp wise.

Re: Is your needle Average?!?!
I added a full 12 ounces. It says that only so that you don't make your coolant to thin, and mine is still good till about -47
In my race cars i run two bottles and the rest watter, it works well.
I think My SH is almost purely coolant, so that is why i added a full bottle.
