While searching Craigslist for mufflers for the Superhawk I got a couple weeks ago, I wound up finding another one near Dayton OH in nice shape. The CCT went out in 2008 and the guy partially disassembled it. It was listed as "Honda 996" no Superhawk, no VTR in the listing. Let's just say I got a pretty good deal! I walked out to the garage in my underwear in the middle of the night last night just to stare at the two of them sitting next to each other . I'm going to focus on this one as it just needs the engine repaired and then going through with a 20k service.

I looked at one in dayton a 2 years ago red 1998 23000 or so miles and it had carbon fiber microns on it.
