Ive had the hawk for a while and Ive never stopped wondering - is this or that normal for this bike? The PO neglected the bike and made some mods (like 2 into 1 exhaust), and then Ive done my hand at mechanics (like rebuilding carbs)


3500 RPM in 6th gear at 65 mph
3900 RPM at 70
33 mpg (I really don't think Im driving aggressively)


Can anyone give me something to compare it to?

 

Sounds about right. Stock gearing?

 

43 to 44 at 70mph. Stock gearing carbs tps setting oem filter plus bafflectomy. Babied it gets 48. Drops into high 30's when I whoop it. I stick with the power characteristics most of the time, rarely rev it out unless riding the skyway. Probably riding the pilots most the tine
