What Brand Exhaust Is This?

Bought another '98 VTR last night with an unlabeled full system. Anybody know who the manufacturer is? Thanks!

These are the same cans that Just-Nick has on his bike. Unfortunately he is away to basic for a few weeks. Search his user-name and you may come up with it. Maybe Leo's - but I don't remember.

He's got Two Brothers... at least in the photo's I saw. These aren't Two Brothers though. I'm hoping the cross-over will be a dead giveaway.

Silencers

The cans look like the $322 ones on ebay that are carbon fiber. Those are slip-ons however.

Are the head pipes larger diameter than stock?

It really does look like a Two-Brothers system but it has been a while since the last time I saw one.

I have no idea who made your cans, but congrats on the new acquisition.

Is it going to be a track bike?

Nope... although I hope to get one at some point. I've got an old buddy that has his heart set on a VTR. If he want's it, it's his. Otherwise, she'll be a parter.

I wonder how many Super Hawks are just sitting out there neglected, unloved or abused.

I've owned at least 10... and I can't say a single one came from a good home... not even my personal VTR.

Sounds like there are some hellacious bargains to be found. I want a hundred dollar donor motor just for fun. A buddy of mine got one, so I know they're out there.

Very cool. Heck I would've wanted to buy the bike just for that lol. Nothing I've ever seen. Not a tbr header-I have one. Your's doesn't exit to the midpipes at the stock location (allowing the use of any other slip ons) like the two bros, nor is the crossover the same. The muffler outlets look a little different from an M4 muffler too. I really don't know...

I was hoping it was an M4 so I could con mikstr into a trade for his Akrapovic....
I know I've seen that cross-over somewhere before, I just can't remember where.

If you ever want to part with it let me know I'd sure love to wet sand and polish it up to look like new again.

Maybe you monkey's missed this post...

I know I'm reaching but are those mig welds? I know most of these things are tig welded, which look a little prettier. Some, like me leo's are so perfect it looks like a robot did them. And despite the pretty high quality of the M4 system I had I can tell you it looked mig welded. You may have a score there. I'd tell you to email the pics to M4 and ask, but they don't seem to have any more info any longer on them than we do. Anyway off the bed. We'll figure it out another day...

Those exhaust pipes kind of look like Hindles.

Hindle mufflers have a different outlet cap, no bands around the can, and a flat inlet cap the midpipe goes inside of...

What are the full systems we know of? M4 (the mufflers look different but maybe), Two Bros (def not that-I have one), Akrapovic (not that)... Not Moriwaki. Not Yosh. Anyone else overseas make a full system?

By the way here's the M4 muffler from the full system on my sv...would've been made around the same time so I don't see why the muffler designs would differ if yours were an M4 (nevermind that fact that mine's shortened about 2"). And again yours looks like a specific full system (the way an akrapovic or a moriwaki is) that you can't mix slip ons with like you can with a two bros header.

That is a fancy looking setup, with that xpipe etc. It does look like a "full" exhaust.

Perhaps it is M4, anyone know what those actually looked like?

Indigo also made a full system.... I seem to recall someone mentioning Laser (Lazer?) at one point...

Still waiting on one of the members to post pics of his....... Perhpas Shayne could identify it as an M4 or not as he has seen one before....

I am thinking it may well be an M4 as the rear pipe is extremely long and I seem to recall that the M4 has equal length header pipes.... Could we have found the Holy Grail????

Nice! I think we have a winner. I remembered the Robrady TL1000s and I still have the May '98 issue of CW. It has a full Indigo system and the mufflers look exactly the same-the shape, the bands, the hangers, the inlets and outlets... Nice job Mikstr!
