Just purchased a 2000 vtr1000 . I am just wondering what is an all around better bike , in terms of performance , reliability , maintenance . I am comparing it to the earlier cbr600 f4 carb models .

I was wondering if anyone else has owned both bikes and can give me an opinion , or how reliable your vtr's have been , and how long you have owned them . any info is greatly appriciated .

they have pretty much equal technologies. about dead even in terms of power. VTR has more torque and its makes its power differently. more of a mid range monster opposed to a top end punch. cbr is alot lighter. both, if looked after well are easy maintainence. had my VTR a few years now. never given me any trouble.

just replace your CCT's and R/R and youll be good to go!
