Two Brothers slipons

Are these worth $50.00 plus shipping. They are pretty "used" and there is no midpipe. What do you think?

Not a bad price if you shine em up and use your old mid pipe. You can always repack em.

Seeing as there are no visible dents and the rash at the ends look small... Yeah... I'd say they are...

That depends on how nice you want them (do you know how to polish?) & how easily you have access to matching midpipes. Also need 4 springs. Where are you going to get mids from?

I was told I could use the stock mids. I don't know how to polish but I want to learn! I'd like to someday polish my frame etc.

You can't use the stock midpipes without a fair amount of cutting and welding/fabricating, which is doesn't sound like you were planning on doing. The stock midpipes and mufflers as you can see are one piece. When he said use your old midpipes I think he was asssuming you already had an aftermarket exhaust. And even if you did the midpipes may not use two springs or have the same diameter pipe to fit properly. Polishing is not hard, but it is hard work, and very dirty and time consuming. It is addictive though! I spent an entire year wet sanding and polishing a bike once!

The auction ended and I didn't bid. I think if I wait I'll find something better. It is HARD to be patient, I want it, and I want it now. That would be all good if money was no object huh? Anyway, I want to learn to polish, what to use and so forth. I will totally get into like you did Capn. Any tips or instruction would be awesome! Now I'm jacking my own thread!
