Top 100 Motorcycles Worldwide - VTR #28

Have a look at this. However, is the shown bike (SP-1) closer to or same as RC51?

Same as a RC51....here in the uk we dont use RC51, its either SP-1 (00-01) or SP-2 (02 onwards)

#28 is the RC51/SP1, a bike inferior to the RC51/SP2, which isn't on the list.

The VTR1000F (Superhawk/Firestorm) isn't on the list. Surprises me 'cause it's more popular in the U.K. and Europe and is a better all rounder than most of the bikes on the list.

Gotta laugh too 'cause no top 100 list in the USA would ever include 125cc street bikes.

Yeah, it is a British survey, go figure there would be British bikes in the top ten. I am surprised at the 26 or 27 pick. The '02-'06 Ducatti 1000SS. I've never seen that model. What a piece of crap. Looking at the stats our bikes would walk all over that expensive piece of junk, and not a superhawk in there.

Of course, to further complicate and confuse things, a "RC51" is correctly refered to as an RVT-1000 in the U.S.

swordfish is an unknown quantity at this point
ah jeez. you guys see this? a dyna wide glide? a harley has no business in the top 100 bikes list. not unless you want to include those bikes you can buy at jiffylube. they have about the same value. except for the v-rod or the newest buell, and that's only because neither one has a harley engine.

polls of this type are generally useless. Probably compiled by 3 drunk Triumph salesmen.

I don't believe we really need anyone to reassure us that our bikes are something special.

welcome to you also 98SKS. Man, it's unbelievable how many new members......possibly for the reason you just cited. No matter. One's loss could be another's gain in this instance.

I think they are great bikes.I have one.
Just thought if it were to be high on any lists "worst resale value" would be one of them. Also:
Underrated Sportbike;
Cheapest sportbike to insure etc.
