Here is my hawk. it is a 98, 25k miles. i have it running well now, it is finally time to get to the cosmetics. I had to push it too the side for the last few weeks, i have been busy at the shop.

The left fairing was cracked at the top and had numurous scrapes and the little wing shape at the bottom was ground through, I rebuilt that and repaired the rest and painted it earlier. ( paint code R-157, if anyone has a standox basislack formula for the midcoat please let me know. I pulled up the formula but had some odd results) I ended up with ferrari red, midcoated with purple and color blender to get it close. I would never have guessed it to be a tri coat.

The bike is a salvage bike, i am working on getting the title straightened out.

So far I have about $1400 in it, including the bike, plugs, air filter, shifter, front tire, and a few other odds and ends.

Does anyone happen to know a close match for the clutch/stator cover colors?

 

here it is all together. I took it for a quick spin around town, it was nice out tonight. Everything seems to be working. I am going to set up an appointment to get the hiway patrol to inspect it ( you gotta do it on a salvage title in MO ) hopefully have it legal by next weekend.
