t1's are supposedly a good value, tyre sox (sux) are cheap and are a pita to use, woodcrafts have a solid rep, im personally buying a set of powerstands digitals in 2011, theres some cheap ebay ones too. from what ive seen, i THINK capit makes the warmers that the motogp guys use. u never see their warmers plastered with a brand name on them, but im pretty sure capit supplies the teams. theres only a handful of dealers that carry capit here in the US, but i suspect dropping that kinda coin isnt your plan.

I use chicken hawk and tire sox that I modified. I just sewed on fleece to hold the heat and replaced the drawstrings with a lenth of shock cord (bungee) with hooks. It now operates just like the hawks. I have had the sox for like 8 yrs and they still maintain the same temp as the hawks. Alot of guys in my race garage use all different brands & all have had about the same amount of shorts & repair issues. If you want some just hack the racing forums (WERA, NESBA, BARF, Chicagoland) they constanty have good deals.

Man Im always on the wera boards looking for used ones and if im not the first to see them then better luck next time. Also what is the huge advantage in having 2 or 3 different temperatures on the more upscale ones. I think like single temps go to like 170 degrees right? Why would you want to go even hotter?
