Swing arm "hub caps"

How do I remove the swing arm plastic hub caps without damaging them?
I want to build a hydralic stand that lifts the bike there and on the engine sump.

There's a li'l slot for a li'l flatblade screwdriver. Ya just stick it in 'n' pop 'em out.

if you pry, rather than twist, you should be able to keep from mushing the edge of the slot.
