I have a 2000, I love it being a unique rocket and all and don't need to sell it but want a cbr 600rr. I used to have the rc51 and it was clapped out but I kinda regret selling because you don't see a lot of them where I live. Anyone think superhawks will be worth a good chunk someday?

Dunno but hold on to yours and find out.

I've had my 98 since new and it has low miles, about 112,000.

I think it still looks sexy, a true classic in the making if not already.

Everyone who sees it and had one says the sorely regret getting rid of theirs.

I've been accumulating spare parts for decades, inluding 2 complete engines, a frame and swing arm and now another complete 98.

Low miles

Miles of auxiliary wiring for a dozen new circuits. All lighting LED

Twin LED driving lights off for replacement, mounting tubes project out of daux intake nostrils.

Looks fast just waiting to go.

Custom 3-point mount tubular case guards and old R1 mirrors on rare mirror extenders. Massaged and sprung forks with Penke 2-way. EBC rotors and pads. Bigger piston front calipers and RVT master cylinder; radial ready to go on. Customized Sargent, 3\" + clip-ons and lower pegs with DB screen make it a Gentleman's Express. Built a +1 gallon tank I never use because of BPH.

Still a looker! And goes better than it looks!
My wife of 42 years says she'll cast me in my Leathers, gloves, boots and helmet with a dark tinted visor on my VTR in a big block of clear acrylic and keep us in the living room as a conversation piece for new suitors.

No. It's not an RC45 or a VR1000. RC51s will/are going up in value. Like everything it'll be mostly so for the lowest mile mint examples. Yeah 20 years from now if you have a 400 mile Superhawk in your living room it may be worth 10-15k like any mint 90's sportbike. Like most things they mostly get trashed so even today mint examples get harder to find. But as rare as they've become to see in the flesh they made lots of them and it has no race pedigree or anything so until they paint one stupid colors and feature it in a Fast & Furious movie I don't think they'll be lining up to pay ridiculous prices any time soon.

What I have seen is that where parts used to be easy and plentiful to find now lots of stuff is almost impossible to find. Most aftermarket parts stopped being made long ago. OEM stuff like tanks and bodywork good luck...

Omg that thing is absurdly clean with that mileage. Mine has 16k and doesn't look that good.

😂😂 That's true, ppl only seem to care about something now a days of it's relatable or they're idol has or uses the same thing. I wish I had all the original plastics and parts and have had to replace stuff on mine since I got it and yeah eBay has very very used original parts for high prices, sucks.

I thought about getting a clutch slave like that just haven't seen the need yet Lol

I also had a near unobtainum Factory pro shifter kit and a lightened flywheel from Marc ready to go in but since the original clutch is hanging in there (knock on plastic) Have not installed them for probably history 8 or 9 years.

Whose master is that?

Both masters are from a Ducati Monster 1100, '11 I think. Other years used the same, also some years of KTM (brake only) and Aprillia.
Wanted to clean up the look of the controls, get a better position with the handle bars and get better function and feel by going to a radial master. It did just that, To match I change the clutch master also. Since the Brembo clutch master is a littler larger in diameter than the stock master, it is moving the ratio of clutch master to slave in the wrong direction. The Oberon slave has a larger diameter than stock so that helps reduce that wrong direction. These masters required new brake and clutch lines.
I found them on ebay.

I have the RVT SP2 03 smaller MC but may go back to the 00-01 larger unit. They better match the larger piston calipers I molded a decade ago+. I have no issues with the clutch action.

And you should only know all tnowthings going on throughout my 98. Literally a dozen new circuits including battery direct headlight power (Cyclops LED and Kisan HLM), heated gear and grips,, Flight Dynamics voltage control, radar detector, driving lights, mosfet vrr, GPS and cell phone hard wired fat charge, etc. Before going mosfet I had CPU fan on the 2nd gen OEM VRR. LOL
