Stupid Cager

So yesterday, I'm riding home from work.

They're doing some construction, so it's down to 1 lane in my direction from 2. This douche in a work van keeps trying to nudge. To the point that he rubs against me. Then he pulls forward a few more cars and forces his way in.

I finally catch up with him. He dives through a gas station, and cuts off a garbage truck diving out of the same gas station, trying to avoid me.

Well, needless to say, I get his company phone number, YES, he did all of this in a company van, I also get the plate number and van number.

I called the company and asked for a manager. He was more than apologetic.

I just can't believe that this guy acted this way in a company van, and thought he wouldn't get called on it. DUMBASS!

Anyhow, that was my fun for the day.

the fact that cagers are normally too oblivious to care/be looking for motorcyclists and don't think twice about it kills me. The worst part about it though is the fact that getting cut off once can **** you off enough to the point where its hard to enjoy yourself throughout the duration of your ride. I have an irish temper so maybe it's just me but i tend to let things like that nag at me. i'm sure there are more level headed riders out there that shake it off pretty easy. i cant tell you how many times i've headed out for a nice long ride in a state of complete euphoria. that all ends as soon as someone swerves, cuts me off, or tailgates me.

glad to hear that you're safe and that you had the follow through to report that asshat.

I want to practice punching out car mirrors somewhere. I'd like to have that in my bag of tricks when the need arises, rather than fail and knock myself off my bike and get squashed.

Years ago, I saw some weight lifting gloves at a sporting goods store. They had metal plates in 'em. Great for back-handing someone and knocking them out cold.

A buddy of mine had to use the emergency procedure one time. Quite effective...

You should watch the AMA SuperSport races then, or prolly any of the 600cc races. They are always trading paint.
