stock superhawk

Hello all I am new to this site and new to the superhawk world. I have purchased an 05 superhawk that had 1900 miles when I bought in July for 5k. looking to modify I was wondering what you all thought of the aluminum high mount Jardines with the race baffles I found a set for $414.00 wanted to know if that was a good price. I recently put on a double bubble other rhan that still stock. Thanks any and all advice you might give

Welcome to the world of Superhawks!!

$5000.00 was a decent price for an 05' VTR1000F. I bought my 03' with 1000 miles last year from a Honda dealership for nearly $7000 out of door with a 2 yr Honda protection plan. That was a big rip-off but it was kinda hard to find a blue superhawk (03' model) at the time so I had no choice!! Well, so far she's been doing good (solid machine with typical Honda reliability) and I have no regrets at all.

By the way, where did you find that pair of race Jardine's for $414.00? I am also in the market for a pair of aftermarkets. I've been looking for a while now, the lowest I've found so far was $389.00 + $28.00 S/H for a pair of street hi mounts. $414 for a pair of race hi mount sounds like a good deal to me!!

try a 'buy it now' search on ebay. they're kinda hiding. I think 'VTR1000 exhaust' is how I found them. Jardine hi-mounts in most finishes.
now, can you get my wife to agree what a great deal they are and that I just gotta have 'em?

Welcome aboard! That price sounds about right for the Jardines. I'm sure you'll be happy with them and the price really can't be beat unless you get lucky buying something nice used on ebay.

$414 azpowersellers.com - mine are sitting in a box in my office waiting for the front end work to be completed. Best price we've been able to get and nobody has stepped up to match it. I'm not the only one that bought them recently. And BTW

Thread moved.

Welcome to the site.

I found jardine highmounts a tad loud for my taste. I had come from a set of low mount staintunes at the time.

Recently put on the polished Aluminum hi-mounts w/ the street core. They are plenty loud, but not offensive. You do get the sense that every one hears you coming thru when you're on the gas.The guy @ www.starcycle.com said Jardine discontinued all their street core line and that they are now going to include the insertable street baffle w/ all their race core exhausts.

Oh boy your gonna be alittle mad, The factory had five 2003 models they never sold (that I know of last year). They shipped 3 to my local dealer here, just north of Milwaukee and 2 to Chicago cycle sales. They had them listed with 0 miles, mine had 51 miles on it for $6,499 I got mine for less then 6,000 brand new (but still a 2003), can't figure out the exact number with the trade in but the negotiated price before I even mentioned the SV 650s I had before that was about 5,950 if I remember right.

Ummm, it never happened without pics!

I put LV Evo II's on my VFR last fall. By far, the best exhaust I've ever had and I've had a bunch over the years. Superb quality, fit/finish, and a choice on sound level (spuds).

I realize this the superhawk forum and many may not care but here's a link to how they sound with the spuds on my VFR:
