I took my first ever trip to the UK/France this summer and it really drove home the point of how much we waste fuel-wise. Most of our gas guzzlers would not physically fit on their streets nor have a place to park much less afford to fill them up.

I had an old toyota regular cab pickup, got about 27-29mpg on the highway, and wished I never sold it.

Until my recent knee surgery, I rode the bike pretty much exclusively, such that my truck actually sat without being started for 3 1/2 weeks during September.

Buy yes, guilty as charged. How else am I to be expected to get the bike back from a trackday if I prang and bin the thing?

Re: Statistics: Do you own a truck?

1990 VW Corrado (G60) OK on gas as long as I'm easy on it
1991 Toyota 4X4 pretty consistent regardless of how I drive it
1969 AMC Javelin pretty consistent also, but in a bad way, usually between 8-12 MPG.
1991 Audi 100 not too bad, mostly highway miles, 20- 25mpg.
2000 Superhawk, you know....

Vtrumble I love that year Jav, also love the AMX as well. The only downfall, which I'm sure your well aware of, is the price for parts! Love those cars though.
