Something I wrote after a quick 250 mile jaunt on Friday.

The corner sweeps before me, I down shift, settle my weight and pick my line.
It approches, hard on the brakes now, smooth smooth pressure on the inside handle bar.
My outside leg grips the bike as I decide if I need to lean off the side and turn a little sharper.
The peg ever so lightly kisses the pavement - sparks fly, and as I come out of the corner I am hard on the throttle.
My bike she surges under me, and with a throaty roar leaps forward joyfully twords the next corner. My every move, my every thought, responded to instantly.
Around me the mountains rise to the heavens, the trees gracefully painting them green. The beauty astounds me.
But another corner aproches and I can’t be distracted. The road, it’s every curve, every bump revealed to me demands my attention.
And for this moment I am ALIVE, no not just alive, but GLORIOUSLY ALIVE.

You painted a picture and I'm jelous but thanks for getting me all excited for warm weather. My story goes like this.
"It's 30 degrees out and I'm frozen to my seat dodging ice patches. Senses are numb and fingers frozen and I just took the first corner from my house imagining dragging the peg hard on the gas, but reality bites back and I take the turn slow bolt upright. Back to the dark emptyness I know as the garage. Guess I'll wait till April. "
I little more depressing than yours I guess. I'll just keep reading your post until the temps rise. Suppossed to be 50 tomorrow!!!!

+1

Nice summation! Nothing like being in "the zone" especially while on a VTR.
