Sliding forward toward the tank...

Ever since I got my vtr I cant seem to stay back on the seat, I always scoot forward so that my legs are almost wrapped around the tank fully. This isn't very comfortable for me since I'm about 6'5" and not very practical. Does anyone have this problem? Is there any diy mod I can do to stay back more? would tank grips do the trick?

the best fix is to get a corbin or sargent seat. I just let myself slide up to the tank and forget about it, but I am not as tall.

Sargent Seat , really saved my Family Jewels. The stock seat throws you forward. Put a passenger on and your really hurting...... Best mod i ever made for comfort. Also may my try some Gen-Mar or Heli-bar risers. that takes away the agressive forward lean.

I'm 5'11, I have Gen-Mar's and a Sargent seat and I still crush my *****! It's just something you get on most sport bikes. My R1 is even worse. The Stomp Grips that have been suggested might help you though.

^ Yeah I know that it's a common thing, and I dont really care about the uncomfortable aspect I just feel like I have more control leaned back. And easier wheelies of course

Even with a Sargent I still move around a bit. I've learned to find a happy medium but I'm not that tall. I've found that it is almost necessary to "grip" the tank somewhat with my legs, but that's just me.

6'4 with a sargent seat here and find it more cozy on the pebbles than the stocker. i notice myself shifting myself back here than there, but doesn't bother me
