sheriff didnt care.

Had one of those days today and when i came home i geared up and jumped straight on the Hawk. My only intent was abusing the backroads and not letting any cager get in my way. Perfect day too. Mid-november and about 60 degrees. Im leaning extremely far in the corners and cracking the throttle to the stop on exits. I came around a slight left into a downhill section. I was in a lower gear and ripped the front wheel up exiting the corner down the hill, leaning a bit and wheel turned. It was like a damn movie scene(in my head anyway) and i let up just enough to bring the wheel down and hammered it into about a mile long straight of newer paved road. Wide, fresh, clean and not a car anywhere. Im blasting along pushing 145-150 and to the left in a driveway i see a sheriff sitting all alone amidst some trees. In that fleeting moment i see him lock on and look back down at whatever he was doing. He didnt even bother to worry about me. I in turn kept it hammered as it was too late to do what cagers do and slam the brakes in a panic. He had me if he wanted and he didnt care. Then off to the gas staition to fill my little old tank back up. Took the scenic route home and kept it cool as i figured i got my free pass for the day and it was time to relax. Just thought id share a little bit fellas.

Yeah, he would have had a helluva time catching you. Plus at some point, the police just have to leave it up to Darwinism.

That is some luck. If it were me the cop would have just pulled me over, planted some drugs on me, beat me up, take my bike, take my dog and knock up my wife. Wait this sounds like a country song.

More like he knew there was no point to try. You're covering half a mile in 12 seconds.

Everyone hates the cops until they need help from them.

It just doesn't happen very often. Never, in my case.

+1 never have. hopefully never will. ems tech, paramedics, firemen, sure. love you all. but aside from standing around looking fat and cocky, how exactly would a pig ever help me? they won't be the ones pulling me out of a wreck, or jumping infront of a bullet, so how exactly would they help? by pretending to look for a bike if it was stolen? don't make me laugh. and if I was under threat from another person, I'd rather deal with it myself than trust one of those tools to do anything. they are there to harrass, condescend, and take my money. nothing more. other emergency services do all the saving. swine just block traffic.

Cops are doing their job, even when you don't notice it.
People who call cops "Pigs" are a joke. And if your house is ever robbed and you call the cops, I'm going to laugh.

My house did get robbed once and you know what the Pig said to me..... Get a gun. So I did. It was the best 1200 bucks I ever spent. Now if Someone breaks in my house, they will be looking down the barrel of a 45. with hollow points in the chamber and clip. So to me cops are pigs. Sorry just my .02 cents

so let me get this straight. you had contact with one officer that you didn't like their response, so lets group them all together.

with that mentality, then if i come across one sportbike rider who say is an "idiot", then all sportbike riders are "idiots".

good thought process....

So would you rather he base his opinion on some imaginary cop he's never met?

I've "needed" a cop on a few occasions. Each time they were a useless waste of my time. One time I even had an oncoming car turn left in front of me on my 'hawk' that could've taken me out. The cop sitting at the intersection with a front row view didn't give a rats *** or lift a finger.

I'd like to be proven wrong. I want to do a police ride-along actually just for that reason, so that I might develop some shred of respect for what they do.

People that live in ghettos should fund the police force, they use it, I don't. The only thing I need them for is to collect roadside speed taxes from me.
