she took a spill.

I found my SuperHawk on these forums, so its only logical that I come back here to share the recent adventures...

I just posted https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...d.php?p=161273 in the cosmetics forum for some pointers on new turn signals... I guess I should explain why.

http://flickr.com/photos/alphex/sets/72157604654325990/ <-- pictures speak more then I can ever...

I was out with some friends for a long ride out in to the country, came around a corner, probably too fast, and got distracted by two kids who were on the side of the road, up on an embankment, waving at me... right as I was knee down in my turn...

I ended up, straight up in a drainage ditch, and made my 2nd mistake of trying to get OUT of the ditch, while still moving to fast.

When the front wheel got traction on the pavement again, the rear wheel pulled out and I low sided.

The bike slid about 30 feet, I slid about 20 feet...

as you can tell from the photos, the armor did its job.

I've got a nasty bruise on my hip from where I landed first (I think the zipper head on my pants actually did that, the bastards...), but other wise, in great shape.

The bike runs, I got it home under its own power, but it needs some cosmetic work, and I *MIGHT* Need to get the forks redone as something is off-kilter and the handle bars feel out of alignment. I hope things are bent. The frame slider on the left side took the most of the damage, and it sits on my desk at work as a reminder

So yeah, I'm digging my membership out of the closet, and will be crawling around the forums reading up and asking for advice as I clean her up.

I bought this bike from EngineNo9 who is a member of these forums.

She's an awesome machine, and he did a lot of great work to her, and its served me very well.

I'm looking forward to getting her back on the street.

Thanks

Yeah, one friend says he'll help me with fiber glass work, he apparently has built him self a kayak out of fiberglass... So that sounds awesome!

Another friend says he has an air brush, and wants to do something to the bike... he's a graphic designer, for a major advertising firm, so I think something cool will come of that.

Oh yeah, I need a new frame slider for that side
