This is the first mod I did since getting this Hawk a week ago. I had a custom upholster shave some factory foam on the sides of the seat near the tank, spoon the *** and then lay in cushier foam. She then recovered in leather. $80.00 cash and to me feels as nice as a sargent. I rode 70 miles the day after I got the seat back and a world of difference was obvious. This coming from a guy with a spinal fusion and an artifical disc in the lower back. She is in central CA just outside of Modesto in Ceres. She says guys send her seats all the time and she sends them back via UPS or Fedex. Her name is Diana and here is her craiglist ad:

Looks great, and you can't beat the price. I'm curious, how did you decide on the specific modifications you had done?

 

For me it was easy since she lives nearby. I simply sat on the seat and told her where it was uncomfortable. 4 hours later she was done. She claims to have 31 years experience, started when she was 16. She does this on the side as her 9-5 job is custom seats for hot rods and restorations. She has a group of questions to ask you if you have to send the seat to her.....how tall are you, whats your butt shaped like, can your feet sit flat on the ground? Those types of questions.

 

Thanks. It's got me thinking. Looks like great work and the price is incredible, but I may end up trying to find someone local: I have a hard time picturing myself describing the shape of my butt in an email, by phone or even in person
