Repsol 'Hawk spotted on Sunrise Highway
I saw a Superhawk with "Repsol" livery, twice, on Sunrise Highway east of San Diego today. I didn't realize it was a VTR until I heard the exhaust note as it passed, and I looked in my mirror and saw the VTR tailsection and 2 cans.
My wife and I were heading out in our truck for a mountain bike ride, when he passed in the opposite direction on the north end of Sunrise Highway. 3 hours later, and 20 miles south, I saw it again as I was standing in the bed of our truck, loading our bikes. I got a good look at it that time, I gave him a thumbs up, and he waved. It had carbon cans. Is it somebody on the forum?
I've rarely seen other Superhawks since I bought mine in 2005, maybe 30 or so total, and I've never seen one with Repsol livery.

Thats what makes this bike cool and us a cult following. I met only one other hawker here in the city. He happened to be on the forum too.
Sadly he was just selling the bike to be an adventure rider. But hopefully it found a good home.
