Randomly sputtering in mid range

Not sure WTF is going on. I assumed just a bad tank of gas. Put a couple bottles of octance boost in and filled the tank to see if that was the remedy. NOPE. No changes at all made to the bike. Pulls fine on the top end.

Id say between 4-7k is where this new sputtering has come from.

Bike has danmoto xg-1 slip ons, jetted, airbox is sealed off, mccts, 42/16.

Any help is much appreciated.

A week ago. I put the KN in and then took it right back out. Now it runs like it still has the shitty k&N still on the bike .

If that's all you did, you best go back in "doctor" and check to see if all is well with that which you touched. Maybe you accidentally left your watch inside when you were closing up. LOL. Seriously, retrace your procedural steps. You would be surprised at the number of times mechanics review and find an error. Don't ask me how I know. LOL

When you pulled the tank off to put the k&n in and take it off did you put the vac line that connects to the petcock on the correct nipple? The correct one doesn't point down.
