raised footpegs?

searched and searched and searched but for the life of me i cant find the threads on this topic. tried lifted pegs, raised pegs, riser pegs, and all that + footpegs too. nothing.

anyways, they're replacement footpegs, but they're raised up. a cheap alternative to rearsets of sorts.

anyone remember who made them? or where that thread is?

For another option... Take a look at NCDave's rearset mod in this thread:

(photos are in post #25)

i remember the site being state side though, and it was an ebay-ish type of sale...i think the pegs were like $80 a set.

also just noticed NCdave's solutions. that seems very very very cost effective as well. wonder if it flexes any doing a track day?

No, they don't. I have wrecked mine twice set up like that. the bolts and filler piece held up even though the footpeg broke off the bracket. The spacer won't be a weak point at all.

One thing that I've noticed though. Are the 2001 and up brackets mounted higher than older ones? I got a replacement used one and it's not the same level as the other side now. I also noticed when looking at new OEM replacements that there is a different part for older vs newer years.

try searching with "adjustable footpegs". I put a pair of those pirate pegs on mine. they work great. made shifting into 2nd smoother too. if someone still have the link, post it up. I don't.

well its not the thread I started but it will do. those are the pegs I was talking about. cycle pirates. they are good. I only intended to use them at the track and then put my stock ones back on for the street. but I liked them so much, I just left them on.
