just playing around with some old lights from my truck that were lying around......might not be a bad idea to put some smaller Piaa lights there though.......

Can you get a better pic of how they mount?

How much?

Couple of small fog lights would look pretty cool.

Those guys are local in San Diego...I sent an email via their Ebay ad, but no response.

Wow, I've never seen a motorcyle used for spotlighting deer before; maybe an occasional 1985 Chevy Camaro with no windows, but never a motorcycle.....

Actually those lights aren't unlike what I saw on that guy's st4 that he set the iron-butt record on riding from alaska to florida I believe.

I like it!

Seems like you need something on the rear....some sort of rear slider. Protect that investment del diablo!

Are those heli-bars or stockers?

i was thinking of trying them out....maybe too much wattage though....150,000 candle power each might be too much

What the rake angle on those forks? I think im going to set my bike up like that tonight. Where did you get the idea for the bars they are perfect. Are you going to put some "Deer Lights" on that thing too??

How about a super swamper 40" mud tire on the back!!??

dang it...
I was just putting the scenarios together to see how they could protect the bike during a wreck.
They seem like they'd work well for a low-speed slide out, maybe a little more. Yes the rear does look to be a little unprotected, but I don't think the weight would be distributed to that area, unless you're in my neighborhood and you run into one of the people who ride passengers and attempt donuts......
Then the passenger's weight could force the rear of the bike toward the pavement.
Other than that, I think it will work pretty good.
WAIT...
what if it flips??!! lol

How do these go through the fairing? Do the require cutting? Or do they somehow go through the bolt hole and just support the fairing as a side effect?

You need to drill holes.
Here's my opinion on cages and frame sliders though: They're great for if you drop your bike, but they have a very high potential to do far more damage to your bike. I have seen frame sliders crack frames, rip off engine case covers, and send bikes cartwheeling into oblivion.
Frame sliders are supposed to slide across the surface of the road, but the minute they go into dirt, grass, etc or catch on the road surface, the game changes.

In my opinion, the positives are far outweighed by the negatives.

Yeah, after I posted, I looked at my bike and realized there are no fairing mounting bolts there - I was thinking there were.
