problems with my hawk

so here it goes i bought my 02 hawk last june. july cct broke going down the road, piston smashed valves. got valves sent in all redone got it back. it would fall flat on its face at 6.5 k than spit and sputter. ran fine any rpm before that. talked to the macanic he said it was the throttle sensor or cdi went cheaper route got sensor did absolutly nothing. took it back told him to adjust the valves he found there were no shim in it. put them in it now it still hesitates at 6.5 but doesnt fall on its face till 7 to 7.5. need help wondering if anybody lives in northern michigan who could help me out or if anybody has any advice at what is going on.

You have so many potential problems it's difficult to know where to begin. It sounds like the cams are mistimed.

Just wondering but how many miles did you have on your 02 before the CCT went out on you?
