New Seat

Hey Guys (and Girls..) - I just ordered a new Sargent seat for my '99 SH. Anything I need to consider before I get it??? My biggest thing is if the passenger seat cover still goes on allright. I bought the Sargent because that seemed to be the more favored one on this forum - so I guess we'll see. Thanks...P.S. anybody got an RC 51 for sale???

You might want to consider not getting color matched striping (black). No difference in comfort, of course, but it will give you more potential buyers if or when you want to sell it.

The cover can be a tight fit so just take your time and take care when adding or removing it.

I went w/ straight black and then some red bumper/emblem on it. Thanks for the input. I guess the seats are on back order, but supplier says they're slayed to be shipped to distributors in the Northeast in a week. We'll see...

My seat cowl works just fine with mine. The biggest thing you have to consider is how you're going to keep yourself from riding too far and losing track of time with all that comfort. Enjoy!

I'll be watching to see how you like it too. I bought a Corbin not knowing about the sargent. At first I was pissed at how much the corbin cost, and how little difference I felt. After riding it in every condition now, I cant say enough good about it. I wish I could try a sargent just to see, but then maybe I would get pissed again.... ha
Good luck!

I didn't ride your SH, but I did throw a leg over your 1000RR when we came back up Barkersville Road. Seem to remember wheeling that mother too. Thanks for all the input, I'll let everyone know how I like the Sargent...

Where did you order your Sargent seat from? I have been thinking about buying one also.

I actually just said the hell with it and ordered it from my dealer. He gave me a really good price (appr. $25.00 higher than any on-line stores..). He takes good care of me, and I throw a little business his way. Kind of works out in the end. I forget where I looked on-line, but just type in Motorcycle Accessories or Motorcycle Seats into your search engine, and start hunting. The best price i saw for a Sargent was around $369. I paid my dealer $389. Good luck....

Sargent Seat

I ordered a Sargent seat direct from them in February. Only took 7 days to get it as a non standard, black with med gray piping to match my '05 Titanium.
That's the stealth gray color. Thanks to the members whose opinions I read on the forum before my purchase. I'm 5'10" and 150 and I was expecting more comfort at first, but after a few hundred miles it got broken in and now I love it after over 1500 miles.
